Pandoras has been my favorite restaurant for over 14 years now and my husband & I have eaten there on almost every birthday of mine since we started dating. I absolutely love the whole experience! The waiters are exceptionally professional, food is delicious & the ambiance supreme. The lighting is perfect for a relaxing dinner and photos turn out very good! Alan has been our waiter during most of our dinners & to me he is the best waiter who has ever served me. He is friendly and attentive without visiting too often, as well as making excellent suggestions about the food. We tried the fried lobster last night as our appetizer and it was excellent! I usually eat the Delmonico, the "special cut" of steak. It is a fattier piece but that's what makes it delicious and I make three meals out of it. Thank you again Pandoras & Alan for such a wonderful birthday dinner last night!

I had read some not-so-great reviews so I went in with a bit of a hesitation. I thought the decor and ambiance was nice. Lots of interesting memorabilia around. We went on a Sunday for the Prime Rib special. I had my 2 kids with me...ages 7 & 12. The PR special comes with French onion soup, salad, and choice of starch side. I also had shrimp cocktail which was wonderful. The soup was ok...not the best FO soup I've had. The PR and side (I had rice) were good. It's a good value for less than $20. The 7 year old had chicken tenders and fries, which were well received. The 12 year old tried the PR special and like it. Our waiter was very attentive. My only complaint was the hostess. She is your first point of contact when you walk in and frankly, she was rude. Other than that it was a nice experience. Good food and service.

Worst experience I have ever seen, awful service, waiter was a jerk with a real bad attitude. Reservations for 6 pm, they were not very busy at all. Larger tables which arrived later then us were getting their food faster. Took an hour and five minutes to get a damn salad, had to ask for refills. Spoke with on duty manager and he said he would take care of the issue, which never happened, Service was absolutely terrible. Servers name was Garryn, make sure not to get him as your server. Food was ok, three of our steaks were not cook correctly. Oh BTW, manager didn't do a damn thing about it, not even a small discount for the lack of service. What an over rated restaurant. Will never go to this establishment again.

I had the salmon which amounted to Sizzler quality at Ruth Cris prices. The bread was good, the service was excellent, the food...meh. Paid $30 for the pleasure. Maybe one or two items under $25 so be ready to pay. Maybe the steak is better but I definitely won't go back for the salmon which looked suspiciously like one of the filets you get frozen from Costco. The fruit salsa was also just meh. And the rice was a tad overdone as well. The bread was fresh and good but, when you're in a supposedly upper scale restaurant, isn't it a tad mediocre for the butter to come in the little plastic containers with the cellophane tops? Anyway, like I said, I might go back for the steak but not the fish.

Knowing that my husband & I would be in the area for Valentine's Day I made a reservation on 2/1/14 for 7:00pm for Valentine's Dinner. I had done some major research for weeks and had choose this place based on location & reviews. I called at 3:00pm today (2/14/14, the day of my reservation) just to confirm the time. The lady informed me that they had no reservation under my first or last name. And that they were already booked up. I of course was not happy. She took my name and number & said that she would have the manager, Monty, call me back in 15 minutes. After 30 minutes with no call, I called the restaurant. Monty was still not there and they would have him call me back as soon as he could. 45 minutes after I was originally supposed to have had a call from the manager, he finally called. He was VERY RUDE and VERY SHORT with me. When I told him that I had looked in my phone and knew the exact time that I called he then proceeded to tell me that they have been in business for 35 years and this has ever happened, becoming even more rude and basically calling me a liar. After I told him I could show him my phone if he wanted to keep calling me a liar he became very loud saying, "there is no need for that ma'am!" I was also told that he had over 300 reservations and there is nothing he can do. I am still speechless, as I have been a manager & would NEVER talk to a potential customer in that manner. And I was never rude to him, nor did I raise my voice, so his behavior was completely unwarranted. I am absolutely furious. My husband and I have not had a Valentine's date in 5 years and beings that we are on vacation, without our children, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. And now of course at 4:00pm on Valentine's Day all the other restaurants in the area are booked as well. Thank you so much Pandora's, I will be sure to NEVER come to this restaurant when in the area.

The food was wonderful and the service was too! Even my daughters chicken strips!! Loved the inside decor. Very clean and classy!

The grilled triggerfish and stuff grouper were awesome. If up for dessert go for the brownie. It was a great treat to end dinner.

Great food. Very impressed with the fantastic service.

Pandora's definitely has a great atmosphere but I will say that when they get busy they get BUSY. It becomes incredibly hard to get a seat without a lengthy wait and the past few times I've gone the wait-staff seemed a bit discombobulated and flustered. Either way the food is fantastic! My favorite it the salmon.

nestled between two strip clubs, a good prime rib special... what's not to love? Oh i dunno, bright white iceberg lettuce swimming in oil? Yea, minus one star for that. Affordable wine list. Wonky weirdo waiter who was super nice. Is it a 5 star restaurant? No way. Solid, but not fantastic.

We were here on a weeknight in the first week of June. No reservations and got a table right away! This is our 2nd time visiting this restaurant and both times have been very, very good. Best place to eat on Okaloosa Island. Competent, friendly service. Steaks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. Good quality meat. Salads were small and a perfect pre-dinner size. Crusty, hot, french bread mini-loaves. We were too full for dessert but the meal was very satisfying...surpisingly so because you are in the middle of a tourist area and I was expecting another high-dollar tourist trap. I was wrong! We will be back in Sept and I'll probably eat here most every night. I tire very fast of all the "grafitti-filled, loud, fried seafood" establishments that are everywhere. It was like finding a hidden gem to find Pandora Steak House.

This is as good as it gets in this town. The filet with crabmeat and Bernaise sauce is consistently good. Well stocked bar and quiet professional service. Highly recommend.

I had the filet with crab meat and béarnaise sauce. Cooked exactly as I ordered it and the Flavors were fantastic. WONDERFUL meal! Great service by Janelee, Toni, Mike and Alan! Highly recommend!

I grew up in Ft Walton Beach and ate at Pandora's once in the mid-1980s when it was in the old location. I recently learned a friend I went to school with has been working there for years, and the wife and I decided to treat ourselves and go there and say hello. We are so glad we did! This is easily the BEST steakhouse in the county. We both had the peppered ribeye, which was half the plate and thinner cut but still nicely rare and tender enough to cut with the fork. They brought the interior of the old location with them, so it has old style wood paneling and a really pleasant intimate feeling, no matter where you are seated. The only potential drawback is the lack of a water view, but really you won't miss it. Bottom line, you can get a water view and spend about the same amount of money at dozens of other places, but it'll probably involve fried seafood and won't be nearly as tasty or enjoyable. Save room for a Frangelico Freeze for dessert!

Food is excellent and atmosphere is top notch. As other reviewers have pointed out It is next to a strip club and there is a second strip club across the street, but you really won't know they are there so don't be afraid to bring family here. The service is top notch. My only complaint are the very high prices. When they sold their former location to a condo developer they really went up in price when they built the new place. So instead of going here multiple times a year with my extended family we only go for special occasions. When you consider you can get great all you can eat steak at Golden Corral for a fraction of the price it is hard to justify eating here often. But it is a great place for those very special occasions when money is no object. I think 6 of us ate for $250 last time I was there. I took off one star for the prices.

So yummy! The waiters were all so nice, the decor and atmosphere was awesome/unique, and the live music was great! The food was wonderful: Crab cakes - so full of flavor! Chargrilled Yellowfin Tuna - so tender and I ate every bit! Definitely try this place!!

This is a good place to come if you want steak. Simply that. When my party was seated, we ordered drinks and told our waiter we'd wait a while, well that seemed to piss him off. He has been snippy and cold the whole night and looks down at us every time we say no thank you. Also, come here if you love to be stared at! When we got our food, one of our group's steak was cooked incorrectly, and mine was overdone. Do not order the Top Sirloin, spare yourself. Come here on Sunday nights, and there's a special on prime rib. This whole restaurant made me feel like I was out of place and I'm not sure I'll be visiting again.

We had high expectations for this place, but we're very unsatisfied with be main dishes. First - the good. The kids shrimp were delicious! The bread and croutons are fresh and fantastic. The salads were also really delicious. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. The prime rib was very grisly, the ribs were burnt... bad, the crab cakes were dry, the crab legs were "fishy" and and the twice baked potatoes were more like 10 time baked potatoes. When we commented on it to the waiter, he really did nothing to accommodate us. In fact he only gave us our bill and walked away. And for a family restaurant... It's located next door to (3) gentleman's club. Something to think about If you come with small kids. Definitely would not recommend.

Excellent. Delicious cuts of steak and great service. Also I had the pleasure of hearing Elvis live. What more can you say? Also Alan is the best!!!!

This was hands down the best meal I had during my 7-day road trip. Ordered the Prime Rib which was cooked to perfection and enough to feed 2 people. The entree included a fresh and crispy salad and your choice of potato. Also ordered the French Onion soup which was very flavorful, but lacking the gooey baked on cheese that I love to eat my way thru getting to the yummy onions and broth. My one comment to Pandora's is this, change out the individual butter packs that you serve with your bread, not very upscale for the prices of the meals you serve. Other then that, it was a fabulous meal.

This place gets better and better each time we visit! Ask for Jerry, he is a great waiter. Very attentive! He even overheard that it was one of our party members birthday, and started 'happy birthday' with a lit candle on a piece of pie. Such a fun time. My only critique is that the hostess was not very welcoming, and this visit wasn't our first time experiencing her 'I wish neither of us were here' attitude. Overall a great place with great food and a great atmosphere. They have live music at night too!

Pandora's was highly recommended by a family member so we visited for a nice steak dinner. I ordered a NY Strip, medium, and the hubs and NY Strip medium well. We both got the twice baked potatoes. He also ordered a lobster tail. Fresh bread was good. They don't have sweet tea....Boo! We think they switched our steaks because his was a lot redder than he could tolerate. After we were both halfway through we switched and were much more pleased with our steaks. I still prefer steaks marinated and cooked at home, but this was good for a restaurant steak. Husband said lobster tail may be the best he's ever had. We both LOVED the twice baked potatoes, well worth the upcharge. High priced-yes but so is everything else at the beach. It was a nice, peaceful dinner and a lovely get away from all of the tourist spots.

Tonight a friend and I discovered a Ft. Walton beach treasure! We had dinner at Pandora's for the first time. The special tonight was a prime rib dinner for 16.95. Our meal began with the most delicious bread, crusty on the outside and warm on the inside. We also had a cup of delectable french onion soup. Next came a delicious garden salad with croutons that are certainly freshly made. So good! The prime rib is a large portion served with a choice of rice, baked potato or steak fries. We chose the baked potato with our prime rib and we're not disappointed with either. The food was excellent with plenty left to bring to our condo for another meal! Beyond the meal, we had the best experience with the wait staff! Our server for the evening was Russell. He was courteous, prompt, attentive and provided excellent service. I would give more than 5 stars, were that an option.

Talk about hyping this place up! I will say the only thing that got them the additional star is the amazing service. Our waiter was GREAT. He was enthusiastic and extremely respectful. It was surprising because most of the service down here has not been the best. Hands down the best waiter in Fort Walton Beach! It's a same I don't remember his name, he was an older gentleman and I would recommend him...lol The bf and I arrived there at around 8 pm and it was relatively quiet, not too many people out. We ordered crab cakes for the appetizer and it was not too memorable. For our entree, I ordered bacon wrapped scallops and the bf got the steak and lobster tail combo. He also got mushrooms and spinach a la carte. Scallops have a rubbery taste if they are over cooked and you bet I was eating bacon wrapped rubber. We had a dessert drink, it was delicious. All of the dessert drinks w/alcohol looked good. But the food wasn't the best...so take your pick! Service and drinks might be all you need.

My husband and I love this place. I find the atmosphere comforting since it reminds me of steakhouses in the old days when I was little and my parents would go on special occasions. The filet is amazing. The fried green tomatoes are very good. Much different that what you're probably used to, but really good and not at all greasy. The potatoes are also very good and the service is also great. Yes it's next to a strip club, but it's next to it, not in it. LOL.

Hit and miss. Not much to choose from for vegetarian. Steaks were served Luke warm. We had a party of 11 and couldn't sit together. We were split between 3 tables. It was NY Eve but that's not an excuse for sub par food and service. I had to ask twice to get a napkin as my table setting was missing the napkin We were given the bill without being asked if we wanted dessert. I was going to get one to go but I guess not! Here is the report from some of our party: Three had fish that tasted fishy which means it was not fresh. One had shrimp that was swimming in water and tasteless. I had the pasta Mariana that tasted like tomato soup. Half of our party of 11 have been here before and liked the food but after we had so many bad meals in one sitting we won't be back. We had way better food for less amount of money at the Okinawa Japanese Steakhouse a couple of nights earlier.

This place was simply amazing. Best prime rib I've ever eaten. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Staff was great food was great restaurant was great. Period! You have to try this place

The urge to consume red meat is ever-present. Inside it's dark with photos of the Godfather and such hung about. The regular bone-in ribeye was okay. I dropped half of it on the carpet of someone's car when the takeout box slid off the dashboard. Oops. Second attempt: we came for the prime rib special on Sunday. Yup you heard right. $14.95 prime ribs that comes with a side and salad on Sundays and Wednesdays. The prime rib was super yum. Get the dressing on the side with your salad, unless you enjoy drinking ranch with bits of lettuce thrown in.

Love this place! Been going there ever since it first opened many years ago in the old location. No where else in the entire area will you find a better-prepared steak. They have always cooked their steaks over a real wood-burning fire which gives them a great flavor that regular gas grills just cannot do. The bar has always been very popular at Happy Hour and one of "the" places to be seen. Service at Pandora's is exceptional, as is the food.

  • Becky G.

We had a reservation but were not seated for more than hour while others without reservations were seated. The manager/owner Monty was rude and did not offer any comp to rectify this. When questioned he told us we should not tell him how to run his business. The Wed/Sun special may be a great deal but not at the expense of being treated like your business is not wanted. I've been going here ever since it opened but the chances are slim that I will go back after this experience & will not recommend it to anyone again.

The staff is outstanding, every single one of them with a nice smile and great attitude. Call ahead because the don't open every day. We happened to be there on a Wednesday when they have their prime rib special... Super soft and juicy. We also happened to be there when they brought back their Creme brûlée, it was to die for... Best I have ever had. Great place to visit, great prices; okay to bring the whole family.

  • Jeff S.

We love this place. We come here every year, and it is consistently excellent service and food. Our favorites are the prime rib, the crab claws, and the salmon. The salad dressings are homemade, and they bring out hot fresh bread to eat while you wait.

I cannot believe that no one has reviewed this restaurant yet! I can only assume that the locals do not want anyone else to find out about it. This restaurant has been here since the 70s and you can tell by the décor. They changed locations a few years ago but they moved the entire interior when they did. This is not a bad thing at all, the atmosphere is wonderful here, perfect for a special occasion. This is my wife & I's special occasion restaurant & not so special occasion too. They have a good wine selection as well as a full bar (and lounge by the way.) The salads are great, I recommend the artichoke and hearts of palm. The steaks are fantastic, they are cooked over an open wood pit & have a very distinct oak flavor. They are known for their prime rib, but in all these years I have never had it; I usually go for the filet or the New York strip. The seafood is fresh. The service is always absolutely exceptional. We always ask for Allan for our server and he never disappoints.

  • John M.

Absolutely loved it. Intimate seating throughout. Our waiter, Jack, was perfect -- pleasant, helpful, always present at the correct time, great smile. All our meals were cooked to perfection. We had prime rib, peppered rib eye, filet mignon, and grilled grouper. Honestly, some of the best steaks we've had anywhere and we live in the midwest...beef country. Normally when in the Destin area we eat seafood when out but this was a special treat. Looking forward to net year's vacation and another trip to Pandoras.

  • Anon P.

What is up with all these 5 star reviews??? The food here is pathetic, considering the prices. Absolutely nothing special about it. The prime rib was very bland, and not nearly as good as the one I got at First Choice Buffet. The other difference - this one was $30. When I lay down this much money on a meal, it had better be great, not average. That's why Pandora's gets 1 star.

Quality, skill, and excellent service. Some of the best food I've had outside NOLA. (New Orleans for the non-locals.) May seem silly, but we were impressed even by the croutons. House made, crunchy on the outside with the slightest bit of softness inside wrapped in olive oil delight. Even the relatively cheap house wine was incredibly smooth. We got the Filet Oscar and Oak Grilled Triggerfish. Both cooked to perfection. Well worth the extra price for the quality.

  • T W.

Was here last year and enjoyed so made a recommended reservation again for Weds at 7 for the prime rib special. Arrived 20 mins ahead of time. Hostess advised out table wasn't ready yet but to have a seat in the lounge and it shouldn't be long. We had a drink and waited only to be seated 15 min later and told that they were out of the specials!! Really?! Could have told us that before we wasted 15 mins and drinks in your lounge. Not impressed on your customer service this time.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and we're glad we did... Wow, this place was great! The steak and crab legs were beyond perfect. We were only visiting for a short time, but we made sure to visit once again before we left. I would absolutely return in a heartbeat!

Great steaks, great service, and even better price-value. Sat in the "Bob Hope" booth. This place has a lot of intimate seating to make any special event and non-special event a wonderful all around experience.

I've been coming here once a year for at least 15 years. The menu never changes but then again, it doesn't need to. Great steaks and amazing seafood. Cocktails are great and the bar is always a good time. A little bit of an older croud but kids will be ok.

All about that Pandora's Prime Rib Special. I honestly don't know why you would come here on a day other than Wednesday or Sunday. Soup, salad, large hunk of meat and a side. It's lotsa food. We asked if 2 of us could split one, but it was a no-go. So I ordered a cup of the soup of the day for $5 and picked off my partner's plate the whole night. Not a bad deal. We sipped through our soups, although my creamy crab and asparagus beat out the special's French onion. Next, we crunched through the salad, which was nothing to rave about, but we appreciated the various dressing options. We're obvs not here for the starters though... show us the meat! The prime rib is a pink, perfectly cooked doozy. Ask for some horseradish to slather on that sucker, and you're set to go. Our side of choice was the baked potato, which comes with butter and sour cream. Compared to the far pricier items on the regular menu, this $14.99 special steals the show once again.
